Vloggers must now make it clear to viewers if they were paid to promote a product, in a new ruling by the ASA. Successful vloggers get millions of viewers which attracts big companies. If they are given a product by a company than they are in affect advertising it, and in the Vlog title they must either write Advert or Promo, or put a logo in the video indicating it is an advert.
Vloggers who are sent free products don't have to say its an advert - its their discretion to say they have been given free products but if you have been paid to endorse the product than it is an advert and the ASA will be paying attention to videos.
